Designed for fragile, conflict-affected, and climate-impacted contexts, the program combines value-chain research, systems analysis, community engagement, institutional strengthening, and traceability to assess how sourcing practices affect producer incomes, natural assets, conflict exposure, and long-term supply continuity.

REsource works with communities, cooperatives, researchers, companies, investors, and development and advocacy partners to co-design practical alternatives. These may include direct or cooperative-based procurement, fairer pricing, improved contract farming, risk-sharing mechanisms, storage solutions, community investment, and end-to-end traceability. Drawing on SAS Community Development Towers, the Asset Registry, Business Clinic, Investment Readiness Program, and digital governance infrastructure, REsource connects producers with responsible markets while strengthening transparency, accountability, and protection of community interests.
